  1. Hi Stratos,

14:05 macOS users can open terminal with Spotlight: (Command+Spacebar) enter terminal. Hit enter and Terminal app will open in a window.

type sudo nano /etc/hosts and then hit return.
Enter your administrator password and then hit return

Open editor and add the IP and domain names.

Once you're done, hold down the control and O keys to save the file, then control and X to exit.

Back at the command line, type sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder then type return. That will flush your Mac's DNS cache.

Great tutorial as usual Stratos. Soo you in the forum.

  2. Thanks for this tutorial, Stratos.
Here is a question that is probably impossible to answer: on the Vultr "Most Popular" plan, approximately how many WordPress websites could we put there?

  3. Hey Stratos, thank you for all your tutorials! Very well explained.
Since this tutorial will work for almost all VPS hosts, you should add that to the title so that more people can find it. Only saying Vultr might reduce discovery – add Linode, AWS, etc to the title.
