Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) | AWS Tutorial For Beginners | AWS Training Video | Simplilearn
This Amazon VPC tutorial will give an overview of AWS VPC along with demo on how to create a custom VPC. Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) is a commercial cloud computing service that provides users a virtual private cloud, by “provisioning a logically isolated section of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud”. Enterprise customers are able to access the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) over an IPsec based virtual private network. Unlike traditional EC2 instances which are allocated internal and external IP numbers by Amazon, the customer can assign IP numbers of their choosing from one or more subnets. By giving the user the option of selecting which AWS resources are public facing and which are not, VPC provides much more granular control over security.
This AWS VPC Tutorial will explain the following topics:
-( 00:09 ) AWS VPC Introduction

Practice assignments and three live projects are designed to give you hands-on experience with the AWS management console.
The course begins with an overview of the AWS platform before diving into its individual elements: IAM, VPC, EC2, EBS, ELB, CDN, S3, EIP, KMS, Route 53, RDS, Glacier, Snowball, Cloudfront, Dynamo DB, Redshift, Auto Scaling, Cloudwatch, Elastic Cache, CloudTrail, and Security.. By the end of this AWS training course you will be able to:
1. Formulate solution plans and provide guidance on AWS architectural best practices
2. Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems on AWS
3. Identify the lift and shift of an existing on-premises application to AWS
4. Decipher the ingress and egress of data to and from AWS
5. Select the appropriate AWS service based on data, compute, database, or security requirements

I need to delete the default VPCs but I am unable to do so. I have deleted default subnets by accident and to recreate those I need to delete the default VPC and create it again. But I am unable to delete the VPC and I checked there are no instances running. Is there any way I can check the dependencies of the default vpc and then delete those dependencies and then delete the VPC so I can create it and then create subnets?
Thank you 🙂
Best video I have ever seen that covers all detail in nutshell 🙂
Good video with demo..Thanks.
Excellent tutorial! Thanks!
@SimpliLearn
As you mentioned, a newly created Security group will have permissions to outbound internet. After creating DB security group, you changed the inbound rules to only accept web server requests. What about outbound requests ? Should DB servers need internet connection ? If yes, should they access internet directly or via Internet Gateway or vi NAT ?
That was an amazing content, so much information in 55 minutes (31 minutes watching 1.75x) in a really cleary way. Thanks so much, this really helped me a lot.
This guy is so optimized, he doesn't move his jaws while speaking. No waste of resources 😀
Nice and informative, please make videos in PURE ENGLISH there's fast flowing of words which can't able to understand.
Awesome tutorial. I have a simple question — when spanning the subnets across different availability zones, don't we want multiple copies of the public-private subnet combo in different availability zones? For instance, in the video, it shows the public subnet on one availability zone, while the private in another. But if the availability zone with the public subnet fails, availability will still be affected because there isn't a public subnet in another availability zone. So should we create the same public subnet (along with corresponding private) in each availability zone instead of public in one availability zone and private in another?
The best VPC tutorial. Thank you Marc for making it a lot simpler than the general ways of teaching 🙂
Very very good tutorial!!! I do notice you start subnets around 14:18 but have 15:54 which is when you start the subnet demo (not the discussion)
In 24:00 you say it’s a good practice to leave main/default route table in its original state and create custom one for network traffic routes associated with VPC. Next in 32:40 you alter main/default route table adding route pointing to NAT gateway. Why not another custom route table?
Was trying to study via VPC via my purchased course but within 10 min started banging my head and then with some search landed on this video. And whola! within one hour fully understood the concepts. Thank you so much for this knowledge
great video…but please speak loudly….
Excellent, very clear explanation, demos at the end of each section helped to put things in perspective
That explains a lot! many thanks!…
Amazing tutorial. Loved it
This absolutely the best one hour I spent in a while. Learned clearly of a very essential service of AWS. A big thanks!
Great tutorial , only to be in the same page nowadays if you delete your default vpc in "x" region you can create another without contact aws support
This was really helpful. The concepts are explained very well. No nonsense turotial!!!
Great!

Released 4 years ago, still the most easiest to digest VPC tutorial in the internet today. SIMPLI_AMAZING!
Brilliant Explanation ! VPC related stuffs were always scary to me . Thank you very much.
i want only one or two users like from pg admin to connect to rds private subnet , how to do that ?
The best VPC tutorial. Very clear and detailed. And for the Teacher ++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Excellent explanation
For those who want learn about just concepts on high level, last 15 mins is sufficient.
watching this in 2019, still the best lesson found on youtube!
